 About the project

The royal is set on a makeshift foremast. This is a temporary setup to test a possible mechanism for pulling the sail up against the yard so as to dump the wind. The key lines for this are the four 'bunt lines' which are quite small and just visible running from the bottom of the sail through eyelets in the sail through a block (pulley) on the yard and then up to 2 blocks on the 'mast'.
