 About the project

The planks are ½” thick and 1 ¼” wide. Their lengths vary between 10’ and 16’. They are made from a wood called Kiri from China. The tongue and groove was machined by BoatCraft in Australia under the name Quickstrip. The product is marvelous for several reasons. 1) It assembles quickly because the strips stay aligned with one another with no extra work. 2) Simple butt joints are good enough so no scarf joints need to be made.
